Becker: Sandblasted Dublin (Two Clubs) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-007-0924
Founded by Fritz Becker in 1974, the Becker workshop has remained a family-run business, now under the leadership of third-generation craftsman Federico Becker. Known for their distinct designs, Becker stands apart from other Italian workshops by favoring slender, lightweight proportions over the more robust, neoclassical styles typically seen in Italian pipe making. This signature approach is evident in pieces like this Dublin, which features sharp, angular lines and Federico's signature pointed heel, this combination of features lending the design a Pickaxe-like silhouette. The bowl, with its high-reaching walls and softly domed rim, carries a forward-leaning momentum, and despite its litheness, it houses a deep tobacco chamber, perfect for long, leisurely smoking sessions. The elongated, round shank gracefully connects the bowl to a hand-cut cumberland stem, which complements the mahogany-hued stummel. The stummel is finished in a fine sandblast that accentuates organic growth rings rippling up the bowl's flanks.
