About This Pipe
Fitting to such a vibrantly display of flame grain, this bengal-stained little design sports a combination of line, flow, and form which work together to create a single gesture of dramatic flourish that proceeds smoothly from the gentle roll of stem and shank to the proud, trumpeting flare of transition and bowl. It's a simple design without accent, sculptural complexities, or other distractions, and as such the sort that really leaves little room for error - a misstep in a composition like this is very difficult to hide. Benni, of course, pulls it off beautifully.
