Benni Jorgensen: Smooth Bent Dublin Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-331-0329

An undeniably characteristic take on the bent Dublin for Benni Jorgensen, this handsome fellow makes use of his oft-implemented sweeping sense of gesture, combining it with a forthright, yet sprawling presence. In profile, the lenticular shank flares gradually, but dramatically, toward the shape's upright bowl, emphasized even further by licks of stunning flame.

At the rim, the gentle concave disposition of the briar surrounding the chamber is seriously impressive in its subtlety, not to mention its gorgeous spread of perfectly framed birdseye. The lines of the aforementioned crisply compressed shank taper effortlessly into the bowl, and the carver's choice of contrast stain here is quite brilliant, especially combined with his deft handling of this particular block. Lovely work.
