Brebbia: Jubilee Pura Billiard with Silver (3 Star) Tobacco Pipe

This is the first of its kind I have ever seen from Brebbia, and very possibly the first we have ever seen on this site, according to our archives. The Jubilee series was one that ran from 1992 to 1997, and was introduced to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Italian marque, but seldom pops up to designate pieces that are of a superlative composition and grain, such as this Billiard, a shape that we've never seen as part of the series. It's easy to see why this has been deemed worthy of its stamping, as the shaping is spot on, with a tall bowl and solid, proud walls that sit upon a pronounced heel. The shank is fairly trim, and the saddle stem it is paired to offers a sleek touch out back that is quite welcome, with the junction marked by a broad band of silver which mirrors the silver cap adorning the rim. The star of the show here, however, is the impeccable grain, with dense striations of straight grain framing the bowl and impressively visible growth rings quavering through them at nearly every angle, revealed beautifully under the Pura series' honeyed mahogany stain.
