Brebbia: MPB Sailing Sabbiata (601) (9mm) Tobacco Pipe

The Brebbia "601" is an interesting shape, as it combines various elements from a few different profiles, all to great effect. The bowl here immediately reminds me of the Tomato with its squat stature and plump sides, though its lower-set waistline and more gradual taper to the rim are reminiscent of the Prince shape. At the shank and stem we see a demure curvature of the latter as well as an overall musculature which brings to mind the Author, though the transition features a touch more angularity than normal. Quite the lovely composition, this piece is dressed in the Sailing Sabbiata finish, with the briar receiving a jet black sandblast that's contrasted handsomely by a silvery band at the junction.
