Brebbia: Hornet Rocciata (9mm) Tobacco Pipe

Brebbia has been fashioning pipes in Italy since 1953, and while their shaping style stays true to many classic shapes, they're often embellished with flourishing touches — whether in finish, or proportions, or some other creative design cue. This Hornet shape is among the workshop's most iconic, signature designs, elevating the classic Calabash with fluid and dynamic character that evokes the aerodynamic posture of its namesake. While the Italian marque offers a more traditional representation of the form in their First Calabash design, the Hornet presents a more playful reinterpretation. It maintains the flaring Dublin-like bowl and broadly domed rim of the classic Calabash but exhibits a more reserved S-curve for a stretched transition that pitches the bowl forward in profile. Offering plenty of eye-catching individuality, the Hornet is here dressed in Brebbia's Rocciata rustication and has been drilled to accommodate a 9mm filter.
