Brebbia: Classic Noce (2019) (9mm) Tobacco Pipe

Brebbia's Classic series presents a new shape each year, offered in a variety of finishes but united by elegant German silver accents. The accents adorn the shank end and stem base for a spigot mount-like aesthetic but with a standard mortise-and-tenon arrangement that's been drilled to accommodate a 9mm filter. The Classic 2019 design is this stout Volcano design: It poises a stout bowl on the end of a gentle transition, and the bowl's muscularity is tastefully balanced by the profile's forward-surging dynamism. Tapering dramatically toward the rim, the bowl features a wide base that's wrapped by a ridgeline to separate from the curvaceous heel. This particular example wears the Italian marque's smooth Noce finish — Italian for "Walnut" — contrasting against the bright accents for a formal, dress-pipe motif.
