Buckeye Pipes sprang from the imagination of Premal Chheda, who has been immersed in pipes and tobacco since the age of six. Early on, Premal saw an opportunity to give aspiring American pipemakers a place to refine their craft. He would open his shop to them, and he would lead them, teaching them the intricacies of shaping and engineering, while supplying materials and overseeing quality control. With that in mind, he launched the Buckeye Pipes brand, which has been providing enthusiasts with unique, hand-finished pipes for the past 10 years.

Each Buckeye Pipe starts with high grade briar sourced from Italy or Greece. Each block is shaped, drilled, and finished by hand and then paired to a high-quality, preformed stem, which is modified for excellent smoke flow characteristics. All Buckeye Pipes are individually inspected and stamped by Chheda himself, and the result is a portfolio that stands apart in American pipemaking — an artisanal approach at an accessible price. Other pipemakers have developed lines of pipes more affordable than their standard fare; what's new and exciting about Buckeye Pipes is that there is no shape chart. Each pipe is unique.
