Butz-Choquin: Arabesque (1772)
Product Number: 002-010-1986
Butz-Choquin's "Arabesque" finish is defined by a traditional carved motif (traditional to Arabesque art, that is) of rhythmic, interlacing tendrils etched into the bowl's face, evoking a floral pattern. It's a lovely testament to the highly decorative, almost completely non-figurative genre, and a fine way to dress the marque's "1772" straight Brandy. With the translucent, acrylic stem paired to the rusticated, virgin finish, the result is a rather rugged, yet warm composition to say the least.- Daniel Bumgardner
