Caminetto: Rusticated Bent Billiard (08) (AT)

Product Number: 002-011-0687

Tall of bowl and firm of heel, this bent Billiard from Caminetto fits well into the Italian workshop's penchant for robust shapes in lean sizes. The shank kicks fairly high coming out of the tight transition before giving way to a demurely bent saddle stem of jet-black acrylic, lending the piece a good bit of height and striking a comfortable smoking posture. This piece wears a craggy, extremely textural rustication and the majority of the briar is stained a handsome tan, with the rim given a fumed treatment: stained a darker color that resembles heavy smoking. Stamped "AT," this piece is the singular work of Tommaso "Tommi" Ascorti, grandson of workshop founder Giuseppe Ascorti. With a chamber over an inch and a half deep, this piece should provide plenty of long, luxurious smoking sessions.
