This bent Dublin is unlike most any I've seen from Caminetto before, as it eschews much of their more whimsical shaping in favor of this almost check-mark-like form. This striking silhouette works incredibly well, especially for this piece, as it allows the tall, proud bowl to ebb forward, pushing its flared body into prominence. The sweeping heel works in concert with the bowl to keep the visual weight centered low on on its build, allowing for the eye to appreciate the entirety of the composition at once. A striking sandblast dresses the stummel in a lovely texture and a vibrant green stain, unveiling a rippling cascade of growth rings which cover the bowl, the smooth, inflated rim showcasing swirls of birdseye.
