Caminetto: Sandblasted Cauldron with Silver (06) (AT)
Product Number: 002-011-0712
The Cauldron shape is one that's readily associated with Italian pipe making, although carvers and marques from other countries have been known to put their own unique spin on the whimsical design. On this Caminetto interpretation the Cauldron resembles a plump Apple with a pinched waistline, but the rim is raised high, further differentiated by a smooth polish to contrast against the rest of the stummel's light-depth sandblast. There's no shortage of chamber depth to be found within the towering bowl while the downturned stem allows for comfortable clenching. It's a thoroughly Italian design, with plenty of playful whimsy, from an esteemed Italian workshop. A flashy band of silver at the shank end contrasts the inky stain of the briar here for a dress-like look that is sure to impress wherever it's taken.- Jeffery Sitts
