Caminetto fashions a few different interpretations of the Calabash shape, ranging in terms of shaping and size, with this particular iteration being perhaps their most traditional, especially in terms of functionality. While the domed cap isn't made from meerschaum, it is removable and possesses the internal cooling chamber for a drier smoking experience. Shape-wise, the tall, slender bowl stands proudly at the fore of an upturned shank and arcing tapered stem of jet-black acrylic. The shank end features a mount that matches the stem in color and material, offering a sense of visual unity out back, but the shank and stem are still joined by a standard mortise-and-tenon arrangement. A smoky, ruby-hued smooth finish dresses the stummel and showcases some handsome birdseye across the flanks of the bowl for added visual appeal.
