Caminetto: Rusticated Bent Brandy (08) (AT) Tobacco Pipe

Coming in at over two inches tall and just over four and a half inches long, this bent Brandy is a true fusion of the muscular and the compact, coming to us courtesy of Italian workshop Caminetto. In true Italian neoclassical fashion, the bowl here takes up the vast majority of the visual weight, resting upon a rounded, sweeping heel and taking on a supple taper from its broad, low-set waistline to its undulating rim. The transition is wide enough to accommodate a thumb, and the shank that pushes out of it flares to its wavering end, stylistically matching the rim. Married to the shank end here is a trim, demurely downturned saddle stem that offers a comfortable smoking posture and elegant poised demeanor, its black hues standing out well against the deep auburn rustication of the stummel.
