In typical Italian neoclassical style, this Rhodesian from Caminetto features a muscular, heavy-set bowl that holds most of the visual weight within the composition, overshadowing the comparatively trim shank-and-stem arrangement that stretches out back. While the Rhodesian is typically defined by a rounded shank, this piece features a shank that takes on an oval shape in cross section, which accentuates the willowy nature of the shank-and-stem arrangement as a whole. It's all handsomely dressed in crisp, ruby-hued rustication, providing ample texture for the fingers to explore, save for rim, which is left smooth for a touch of contrast. For further visual appeal, this piece is accented with a flashy sterling silver band around the shank end.
