Caminetto: New Dear Bent Billiard (07) (AT) Tobacco Pipe

A rather classically inclined bent Billiard compared to much of Caminetto's other work, this piece from the Italian workshop showcases pleasing proportions and a gentle muscularity throughout. The shank here is trim, tapering slightly out of the transition and through the demurely downturned stem, the combination high-reaching, though not quite acrobatic, and contributing to a comfortable smoking posture. The heel here is well-rounded and broad, with a low-set waistline that then informs an easy taper to the the fumed rim, its darker hues standing out sharply against the rest of the stummel's naturally stained, craggily carved, New Dear finish.
