Measuring less than five inches in length, this Hawkbill Nosewarmer is a great example of Caminetto's deft shaping and finishing skills. The bold, Brandy-like bowl is supple and voluptuous in hand with a deep chamber and a plump heel. Paired to a gracefully curving shank that downturns to the stem, the design is marked by crisp lines along the oval shank's flanks that continue into the stem. It's dressed in a vibrant, deep ruby stain, showing off streaks of straight and flame grain wrapping around the bowl and running through the shank.
