Caminetto: Sandblasted Apple with Boxwood (06) (AR) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-011-0765
In the late 1960s, two Castello pipe makers, Guiseppe Ascorti and Luigi Radice, left to found their own workshop, Caminetto. Their skilled craftsmanship grew Caminetto into one of the most popular marques of the 1970s and beyond. This Apple by Caminetto is one of their more reserved offerings, forgoing the more whimsical aspects of the Italian tradition in favor of a streamlined shape. The bowl is pert and plump with a gentle taper to the rim, and the shank features balanced proportions. Furthermore, the shank showcases a blonde boxwood accent that adds an organic flourish to the dark tones of the sandblasted stummel and acrylic stem, giving this piece a distinguished, dress pipe appeal.
