Caminetto: Smooth Reverse Calabash Bent Dublin (02) (AT) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-011-0792
In the late 1960s, two Castello pipe makers, Guiseppe Ascorti and Luigi Radice, left to found their own workshop, Caminetto. Their skilled craftsmanship grew Caminetto into one of the most popular marques of the 1970s and beyond. This bent Dublin by Caminetto features a reverse Calabash construction, meaning that the thick shank has been hollowed out to create a cooling chamber, resulting in what many consider a dryer smoke than traditional pipes. Out front, the robust, flared Dublin bowl seamlessly transitions into the shank of nearly identical width, making the profile exceedingly muscular. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in a fetching blonde stain, highlighting wispy flame grain and wavy growth rings throughout the compact form of this unique piece.
