Caminetto: Smooth Bent Billiard Sitter (02) (AT) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-011-0810

In the late 1960s, two Castello pipe makers, Guiseppe Ascorti and Luigi Radice, left to found their own workshop, Caminetto. Their skilled craftsmanship grew Caminetto into one of the most popular marques of the 1970s and beyond. This bent Billiard by Caminetto possesses several of the elements for which the shape is known, such as the bowl's shapely taper and the sinuous shank-and-stem arrangement's high-kicking disposition. However, this piece features one particularly notable revision, as the heel has been flattened, making this piece a stable Sitter that strikes a jaunty posture. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in a rich, auburn smooth finish, showcasing streaks of straight grain on the bowl's walls and tightly packed birdseye on the flat heel.
