Caminetto: Smooth Zulu (00) (AR) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-011-0812

In the late 1960s, two Castello pipe makers, Guiseppe Ascorti and Luigi Radice, left to found their own workshop, Caminetto. Their skilled craftsmanship grew Caminetto into one of the most popular marques of the 1970s and beyond. This Zulu by Caminetto possesses a crisp, flared bowl that is set at a pronounced forward cant, imbuing the design with a dynamic momentum. The oval shank-and-stem arrangement continues this theme, as its gentle upward arc is reminiscent of the Hawkbill shape, which drives compositional focus toward the bowl. Moreover, the stummel is dressed in a cherry-red smooth finish, while an outcropping of plateau on the aft of the rim provides a dash of textural contrast.
