Caminetto: Smooth Bent Brandy Sitter (Moustache) (03) (AT) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-011-0824
In the late 1960s, two Castello pipe makers, Guiseppe Ascorti and Luigi Radice, left to found their own workshop, Caminetto. Their skilled craftsmanship grew Caminetto into one of the most popular marques of the 1970s and beyond. Although Caminetto is well known for their reserved shaping style, this moustache-grade bent Brandy Sitter is an excellent example of their more creative inclinations. The bowl towers over the composition, its sleek, tapering walls comfortably filling one's hand. Furthermore, the flat heel allows the bowl to sit stably and contributes to the dynamic profile, which peaks at the plateau-crowned rim. Out back, the rounded shank tapers from the transition to the saddle stem, which takes a demure downturn to the comfortable bit. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in a walnut smooth finish, highlighting radiant flame grain on the bowl.
