Caminetto: Partially Rusticated Bent Dublin Sitter with Silver (08) (AT) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-011-0849

In the late 1960s, two Castello pipe makers, Giuseppe Ascorti and Luigi Radice, left to found their own workshop, Caminetto. Their skilled craftsmanship grew Caminetto into one of the most popular marques of the 1970s and beyond. This bent Dublin Sitter boasts a tall bowl that flares from its flat, sure-sitting heel to its broad, slightly raised rim. Said bowl is paired to an upturned shank and a steeply curved tapered stem, the latter of which promotes a comfortable smoking posture and lends a touch of gesture to the shape's already dynamic silhouette. A crisp partial rustication dresses the stummel and lends the briar a wealth of tactile detail, while a sterling silver band adorns the shank end and provides a touch of flash to the composition.
