Caminetto: Sandblasted Bent Dublin (06) (AR) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-011-0850

The Caminetto workshop was founded by Luigi Radice and Guiseppe Ascorti in the late 1960s, the pair establishing the brand after a lengthy tenure with Castello. Caminetto pipes quickly became a success, their unique design language cementing them as one of Italy's most respected makers. They've become especially renowned for their craggy rustications, with many of their pipes showcasing highly textural carving across their stummels. Compared to their other bent Dublin renditions, this example is a fairly reserved take on the timeless shape, though it still presents a robust feel in hand and a neoclassical look. The transition is wide, with plenty of room to drape a digit before giving way to a lifting shank that rises to meet a demurely curved saddle stem of black acrylic. The bowl stands atop a rounded heel and takes on a measured flare out toward an undulating rim kissed with plateau at the fore and aft for a touch of organic style. A striking sandblast dresses the stummel in a lovely texture and a vibrant green stain, unveiling a rippling cascade of growth rings that cover the bowl, the smooth rim showcasing swirls of birdseye.
