Founded in the 1960s by Giuseppe Ascorti and Luigi Radice, Caminetto is a distinguished workshop that produces pipes in the Italian tradition. Caminetto celebrated their 55th anniversary in 2023 with a limited-edition line of Canadians rendered across a variety of finishes. Each Canadian bears a silver band etched with a "55," denoting the anniversary it commemorates. Shape-wise, the anniversary Canadian is a thoroughly Italian neoclassical take on the classic form, offering a plump, full-bodied bowl that overshadows a comparatively trim oval shank and abbreviated tapered stem. This particular rendition is dressed in a smoky smooth finish that highlights gorgeous across across the length of the stummel.
