In the late 1960s, two Castello pipe makers, Giuseppe Ascorti and Luigi Radice, left to found their own workshop, Caminetto. Their skilled craftsmanship grew Caminetto into one of the most popular marques of the 1970s and beyond. This Oom Paul by Caminetto features a squat, full-bodied bowl that stands at the fore of an upturned shank and a steeply curved saddle stem. Said bowl tapers from its wide heel to its taut, concave rim, which ensures the easy-loading of favored blend. Dressing this piece is a warm smooth finish that highlights healthy grain across the bowl and shank alike.
