Caminetto: Smooth Natural Bent Apple with Silver (02) (AR) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-011-0895
The Caminetto workshop was founded by Luigi Radice and Guiseppe Ascorti in the late 1960s, the pair establishing the brand after a lengthy tenure with Castello. Caminetto pipes quickly became a success, their unique design language cementing them as one of Italy's most respected makers. They've become especially renowned for their craggy rustications, with many of their pipes showcasing highly textural carving across their stummels. This handsome and full-bodied bent Apple rendition showcases bold shaping perfectly in line with Caminetto's neoclassical style. The most immediately arresting feature of this piece is the robust bowl, its walls rich with curvature and boasting ample contours that are sure to be a comfort in the hand. This bowl is nearly as broad as it is tall and pushes out at the fore to showcase a supple, low-set waistline set just above a rounded heel. The shank is fairly trim, ebbing out from a tightly-knit transition and lifting to meet a domed fitment of silver marked by an accenting band of black acrylic. The silver dome acts as a sturdy spigot mount in tandem with the black acrylic stem and its own fitment of silver at the base, enhancing the practical feel of this pipe while adding a striking elegance. Dressed in a light, honeyed stain, the stummel showcases handsome grain throughout, with ample flame surrounding the bowl.
