This is the Brucianaso, a.k.a. shape number "10" for Castello, their signature short-and-stout straight Billiard. And it is indeed both, to the point that a little extra roundness to the bowl would have you a very chubby Apple, in the style that's become rather popular amongst independent artisans in recent years. With the only edges being at the rim and bit, this shape in a polished finish provides a smooth as well as solid presence in hand.
