Compared to the majority of the Cantu workshop's production, this bent Billiard could be seen as positively diminutive. In reality, it's likely around Group 3 in size, but the form's combination of compact bowl, trim, tapering lines, and light, lifting gesture give it a much leaner appearance in profile. While all that shaping is indeed quite impressive, the cross-cut grain pattern is just as striking, presenting seas of dense, whirling birdseye to either flank.
