Castello: Sea Rock Briar Poker (KKKK)

Product Number: 002-386-2974

This firm-sitting Poker is a design that was crafted originally as a collaboration between long-running Castello artisan Tarcisio and founder Carlo Scotti, and has been modified over Tarcisio's many years of work with Castello. In honor of his late friend and the workshop's 70th anniversary, Tarcisio created a special run of these unique Poker shapes to commemorate the occasion. With each pipe markedly different from the last, these Pokers are firm sitters, and invariably attractive, representing a throwback to an older Castello tradition paired with modernist finishes.

This large Poker is rustic and pastoral in all the best ways, with Castello's craggy Sea Rock Briar finish accentuating its asymmetric shape. The hills and valleys around its bowl are never jagged, and allow for a number of places for comfortable thumb placement. Its transition has been kept wide and sturdy, with a shank that tapers slightly before flaring near the mount. Delightfully organic, it gives the impression of being naturally-forged just for its purpose, with an ease that belies the incredible craftsmanship involved in such a design.
