Castello: 'Castello' Bent Dublin (KKKK) Tobacco Pipe

Though displaying a sharper, more sudden transition, a more subtle degree of bend, and a bolder heel, this Castello bent Dublin rendition bears a strong a resemblance to the Italian workshop's iconic "49" Calabash shape. Though not as instantly recognizable as their "55" bent Pot, the "49" was heralded as a long smoking, sinuously ergonomic briar, and is still a favorite of many Castello collectors. This piece here isn't the "49," yet it cuts the same flaring silhouette and boasts similar design cues, and the vivid contrast stain applied draws attention to some immaculate flame grain.
