Castello: Trademark Bent Billiard (KKKK) Tobacco Pipe

Castello's "65" bent Billiard may not be as immediately recognizable as the "55" Pot, but it remains one of the Italian workshop's standard shapes. It creates a memorable silhouette with its firm, upright bowl and the sinuous, gestural flow of the shank and stem. The boldly neoclassical bowl commands the majority of the piece's visual weight, contains a generous chamber, and features thick insulating walls to match. The well-defined, deep transition provides a natural thumb rest and allows enough room for the hand to wrap around the bowl with ease. A warm chestnut stain dresses the stummel, highlighting quite a mesmerizing display of birdseye along the flanks.
