The shaping of this Billiard from Castello fits in well with Italian workshop's signature style: The bowl is bold and dominates the visual weight, with its thick insulating walls and stout muscularity in comparison to the more diminutive shank and stem combination. What separates this piece from other Castello Billiards, though, are the accenting touches. First, a sterling silver mount adds regal flash against the honey-blonde stain; and two, the shank and rim are carved with concise grooves, lending the traditional form both unique visual and tactile texture.
