Castello: Natural Vergin Bent Dublin (KKKK)
Product Number: 002-386-3910
When fashioning bent pipes, Castello often imbues the shank-and-stem combination with a significant degree of sinuosity: Instead of simply angling straight from the transition, the shank curls into the base of the stem before the mouthpiece recurves back downward. With a steady taper through the combination, then, it makes for a flowing, gestural silhouette that's well exemplified in this bent Dublin. Furthermore, this rendition bears the workshop's Vergin finish — the briar left free of stain to promote natural darkening as it's smoked.-Truett Smith
