While Castello's bent Billiards vary in their overall size and degree of bend, they often display the same proportional prioritization and a similar flow through the shank and stem, making them easily recognizable as the work of Castello. Regarding proportions, the bowl is prioritized over the rest of the piece, receiving much of the visual weight, while the shank and stem are comparably slender and feature even more curvature than a classic English rendition would show. This particular one highlights all of those design cues, with some additional mass lent to the transition, and has earned Castello's prestigious Occhio di Pernice designation, an accolade that commends pieces showcasing superlative birdseye.
