Castello: Aristocratica Fiammata Bent Dublin
Product Number: 002-386-4084
Castello's Aristocratica finish and Fiammata designation — the former marked by a fumed rim and hearkening to pipes from the '60s and '70s that Carlo Scotti gave only to close friends, and the latter denoting pipes that display exception flame-grain orientation — aren't particularly rare within the Italian marque's portfolio. However, they are each quite special in their own rights. What is exceptionally rare, though, is to find a Castello pipe deserving of the Fiammata grade that also wears the Aristocratica's iconic finish. This bent Dublin is one such piece, featuring an elegantly sinuous and ever-taping shank-and-stem combination and bold, plateau-crowned bowl.-Truett Smith
