Castello: Sea Rock Briar Billiard with Boxwood Stem (with Extra Stem) (18) Tobacco Pipe

This is a special piece, a collaboration between our own Sykes Wilford and Castello, born of a trip Sykes made to the Cantù workshop in 2021. A straight Billiard based on Castello's "15" design, it boasts something very rare: a hand-cut stem of boxwood, joined to a black acrylic army mount. It is rare for Castello to use boxwood, most often sticking to silver fitments that amplify the workshop's traditional and elegant style. This special collaboration is exclusive to Smokingpipes, a highly collectible offering and one which we are quite excited to present.

A trim, lightweight clencher, the profile of this design displays a vertical bowl and a tapering shank. This example is dressed in the stimulating Sea Rock rustication and a ruby-hued stain, lending plenty of in-hand stimulation and finger traction, as well as a wealth of visual detail to admire. The first batch of these contains only 25 iterations, with this rendition number 18 in the series. It comes complete with an extra stem of jet-black acrylic in a Castello-branded leather pouch for easy storage and portability.
