Castello: Old Antiquari Billiard with Boxwood Stem (with Extra Stem) (07) Tobacco Pipe

Presented here as an exclusive, collaborative effort between Castello's artisans and Smokingpipes' own Sykes Wilford, the workshop's "15" Billiard has undergone a bit of a cosmetic change. The workshop rarely ever uses boxwood as an accent; however, in this limited edition offering, the pale hardwood comprises the stem, mixing the traditional shaping of the stummel with the more modern aesthetics of the mouthpiece. In addition, the wood lends a charming warmth and contrast to the composition without making it appear too busy. For those who prefer a more traditional mouthpiece, this Billiard also comes with a black, acrylic stem that's encased in a sleeve for travel and protection.

The Castello workshop is known for its dramatized proportions, bold designs, and iconic finishes, all of which are seen in this straight Billiard. The solid, stout bowl houses a deep chamber within thick, insulating walls and features a firm, Italian style heel, while the abbreviated shank and jet-black acrylic army mount are fitted to the boxwood mouthpiece. The stummel is dressed in the dark, Old Antiquari sandblast, accentuating the beautiful, wavy growth rings and lending contrast to the mouthpiece.
