Castello: Aristocratica Great Line Bent Dublin (with Second Stem) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-386-4647

From 1968 to 1979, Castello founder Carlo Scotti produced a number of special pipes, named the "Aristocratica," for his close friends and associates. Those pieces were crafted out of high-quality briar and characterized by a factory darkened rim. While this bent Dublin is not one of those specific pieces, it pays homage to those early designs and features the same fumed rim and expert level of craftsmanship. This particular piece possesses a tall bowl, with a flared, plateau-crowned rim, a gradual taper to the bold, muscular heel, and a generous tobacco chamber over two inches in depth. Out back, the shank kicks high out of the tight-knit transition before giving way to a military mount and an arcing, push-style stem. The mount and stem enable the piece to be easily broken down, even while still hot. While the rim and upper bowl wear a dark stain, the rest of the stummel wears a warm, ruddy color that nicely accentuates the tight strands of flame grain on either flank of the bowl. This piece also comes with a longer second stem for modification based on smoking preference.
