Castello: Old America 2021 Old Sea Rock Bent Billiard (15.20) Tobacco Pipe

In 2020, Castello launched their Old America limited-edition line, a new pipe series in place of the pipes they traditionally make for the annual PCA trade show because COVID-19 restrictions cancelled the event. The popularity of the Old America line has led to a new tradition, and a new special edition of just 20 pipes comprise the 2021 iteration, a neoclassic Billiard design writ large and offered in a variety of the Italian workshop's iconic finishes.

This entry is numbered 15 in the series, and presents a bowl-centric profile with an elongated, indigo-hued acrylic stem that stretches the pipe just past eight inches in overall length. The massive bowl will fully occupy your hand, possibly both of them, and will stimulate your fingertips with its craggy Sea Rock rustication. It's wearing a bespoke fumed stain, with brilliant orange tones around the heel and transition graduating to a charcoal-black coloration on the plateau-bedecked rim. This pipe will be a conversation starter for sure, and is impressive even from across the room.
