Castello's "23" straight Apple is a less-common sight than its bent counterpart and is crafted here with a rare mouthpiece of briar, making this pipe quite collectible. It also comes with a similarly shaped stem of jet-black acrylic for versatility. Shape-wise, the round, plump and gently tapered bowl displays a slight forward incline and is a bit taller than the classic English versions. It's pertly poised at the end of a more slender, tapering shank with a jet-black army mount at the end, allowing the pipe to be broken down easily and is followed by the push-style briar stem of light auburn hues. This piece is dressed in the "Castello" finish, its smoky walnut stain showing off simply stunning whorls of birdseye saturating the right flank, fore and heel, while the left flank boasts handsome cross grain.
