Castello: Perla Nera Opera (K) Tobacco Pipe

Though the Opera is a classic pipe shape, Castello's "44" rendition remains quite rare and collectible, with collectors scouring the estate market and new pipes for different finish combinations. We've received just a handful of new renditions of the "44" from the Italian workshop, making this piece a welcome sight. Per the Opera design, it displays a Billiard-like profile, but with the flanks pinched, resulting in an oval shape. Designed to be comfortably pocketable, it poses a sleek profile and looks quite dapper here in the workshop's Perla Nera finish. The stummel's just as black and glossy as the acrylic saddle stem, with a ring of creamy white acrylic along the stem base providing some tasteful, classy contrast. It's not a common occurrence to find one of Castello's rarer shapes in the Perla Nera finish, making this one a gem for any collection.
