This Pot from Castello features the stout, broad bowl that often marks the shape, with a firm heel and flattened underside that enables the piece to sit quite sturdily, making it a rather robust desk pipe. The shank tapers gradually coming out of the low-slung, tight-knit transition and meets a domed military mount of jet-black acrylic which matches the stem paired to it, enabling this piece to be broken down even when hot and anchoring most of the visual weight at the bowl as is common in Italian neoclassical tradition. The stummel wears the singular hues of the Aristocratica line, dressing the lower bowl and shank in a deep, rustic auburn hue as the darkly stained, fumed rim causes inky tendrils of flame to drape over the rest.
