Castello: Aristocratica Paneled Bent Pot Tobacco Pipe

A striking bent Pot from Castello, this piece frames the stout, muscular bowl with eight crisp facets. The panels lend the bowl an octagonal appearance when viewed from above, while providing structure to the overall composition. The heel here, like many of Castello's Pots, is pronounced and jutting, driving the bowl forward and imbuing the design with a sense of dynamism. A Hawkbill-like shank-and-stem arrangement curves out back and strikes a comfortable smoking posture. As part of the Aristocratica line, the plateau-crowned rim is fumed while the rest of the bowl is dressed in a auburn-hued smooth finish. The shank boasts a crisp, ruddy rustication, offering a touch of tactile contrast.
