Castello: Aristocratica Bent Pot Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-386-4819
Castello's striking Aristocratica finish dates back to a period from the late 1960s to 1979, when workshop founder Carlo Scotti fashioned a small number of pipes to give to good friends, each piece wearing an iconic, "fumed" smoky rim with an auburn stain below. This particular rendition of the finish dresses one of Castello's signature shapes: the beloved "55" bent Pot design. The palm-filling bowl displays the jaunty, jutting heel and graceful Prince-like bend to its mouthpiece that defines the design, the proportions between the robust bowl and shank embracing Italian neoclassic shaping cues. A collectable pipe, its shaping is spot-on and precise, the shank treated with a craggy rustication for extra textural appeal, while the bowl features the signature fumed rim and vibrant auburn stain that makes the Aristocratica so recognizable.
