Castello: Old Sea Rock Lovat (G) Tobacco Pipe

Castello's "14" Lovat is a classic shape, yet one we just don't see a whole lot of compared to, say, the "55" Pot or the "10" Brucianaso. It's an interesting design, really showcasing the workshop's Italian neoclassic approach to the traditional form, featuring an extra-long, rounded shank and a seriously abbreviated saddle bit. The robust, tall bowl has fittingly received Castello's "G" size designation, and it's finished here in the Old Sea Rock's craggy texture, accentuated through the use of a vibrant auburn stain and a fumed rim, the latter offering rich contrast against the rest of the stummel.
