Castello: 'Castello' Billiard (KK) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-386-4910
Castello boasts a pipe-making history that dates from 1947 when Carlo Scotti established the workshop in Italy. The well-respected shop has since been fashioning high-quality briar into delightfully shaped, finished, precisely engineered smoking instruments that are sought by legions of loyal fans. This 'Castello' Billiard is a fine example of the artisans' talents, its muscular, thick-walled and Pot-like bowl housing a capacious chamber atop a flattened heel that enables it to sit sturdily upright. The bowl is paired to an abbreviated shank that tapers to a jet-black army mount that's then topped by a push-style stem of the same color and acrylic material, enabling the pipe to be broken down, even when hot, the entirety of which results in a handsome, striking profile. The stummel is dressed in a warm auburn stain, showing off dense striations of flame grain around the bowl, while birdseye populates the rim.
