Since their founding in 1947, Castello has offered the finest pipes Italian craftsmanship has to offer. To celebrate their 75th anniversary, Castello presents a special commemorative release of their ever-stylish "33" Canadian Nosewarmer. Each piece in the series is numbered out of 75, with this particular example stamped as number 2.
Though relatively tight-knit in terms of length, this piece, in keeping with the Italian marque's muscular shaping style, features a broad, squat bowl that rises at the fore of a subtly bent shank-and-stem arrangement. The bowl builds proudly upward from its firm, slightly pronounced heel to it plateau-crowned rim, while an oval shank tapers subtly into a mouthpiece of cream-hued acrylic, out back. A warm auburn smooth finish dresses the stummel, higlhights fine strands of flame grain about the bowl, and provides a silky texture for the fingers to enjoy.
