A muscular, hearty rendition of the Billiard shape, this piece from Castello boasts a tall, stout bowl that's framed by eight crisp facets. Said facets reinforce the bowl's brawny build and lend a strong sense of geometry to the overall composition. The bowl, in typical Italian neoclassical style, holds most of the visual weight within the composition, overshadowing the tapering shank-and-stem arrangement that trails out back. Dressed in the warm, golden hues of the Castello smooth finish, the stummel displays some impressive birdseye on either flank of the bowl.
