Castello: 'Castello' Acorn with Silver Stand (KK) Tobacco Pipe

Two aspects make this piece quite a unique offering from Castello. 1) The Acorn shape is not a design often seen from the Italian workshop; and 2) the silver band at the end of the shank features two "feet" that fold down, enabling the pipe to sit sturdily, while not interrupting the overall profile of the piece when sitting upright. It's all wrapped up in an auburn contrast stain, leaving us with a handsome and thoroughly individual piece from a premier workshop.
